The average cash dollar selling rate decreased to 38.25 hryvnia, and the euro exchange rate decreased to 41.70 hryvnia.
The hryvnia exchange rate continues to strengthen against the dollar and euro on the cash market. It was reported by RBC-Ukraine in reference to tracking data on Wednesday, January 31.
So, the average selling rate of the dollar decreased by 5 kopecks, to 38.25 Hryvnia, the euro exchange rate also fell by 5 kopecks, to 41.70 Hryvnia.
Today, exchange offices buy dollars on average for 37.75 UAH, and euros for 41.00 UAH.
In the interbank market, the American currency rate is at the level of 37.68-37.75 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) – a decrease of another 5 kopecks compared to Tuesday’s closing.
The National Bank of Ukraine today reduced the dollar exchange rate after five days of growth to the level of 37.8746 UAH (-0.0116 UAH). Over the course of the month, the rate decreased by 11 kopecks – on December 31, 2023 it was 37.9824. Today’s euro exchange rate is 41.0845 UAH (+0.0803 UAH).
Earlier it was reported that the NBU is reducing the sale of dollars for four weeks in a row. In the period from January 22 to January 26, the lowest amount of money was sold in the interbank market since the beginning of 2024.
It was also noted that Ukrainian banks have imported a record amount of foreign currency since 2014. In December alone, $1.33 million in foreign currency was imported into the country.
