Ukrgasvydobuvannya received good data from 3D seismic studies, which allowed them to determine the optimal points for production drilling.
In Ukraine, the operation of a new exploration well with a capacity of 250 thousand cubic meters of gas per day began. Ukrgasvydobuvannya reported this on Friday, January 26.
This is the 10th well in this field, showing good results. Meanwhile, experts continue to study the possibilities of the field, applying new technologies and engineering solutions.
“We have good 3D seismic data for this field, which allows us to determine the best points for drilling. 10 exploration wells complement the geological information picture, and we plan to start drilling this year ,” said Oleg Tolmachev, acting general director of Ukrgasvydobuvannya.
The well has a design depth of 3950 meters. It was drilled by specialists from BU Ukrburgaz.
Earlier it became known that for the first time in the history of Ukrgasvydobuvannya, production from new wells exceeded 1 billion cubic meters per year.
We remind you that in November a record gas well started operating in the Carpathians. A promising deposit was discovered in a field considered depleted.
And in August, a new gas field was discovered in Ukraine, the reserves of which may reach 1 billion cubic meters.
