Over the past year, almost 61 thousand new passenger cars were sold in Ukraine for more than UAH 105.5 billion. This was reported by the press service Ukravtoprom on Friday, January 26th.
It was noted that legal entities spent more than UAH 34.3 billion on the purchase of new cars, and individuals – about UAH 71.2 billion.
The most money from this amount was spent on the purchase of Toyota cars – UAH 16.4 billion. The most popular car of this brand is the Toyota RAV-4 crossover. During the year, 2934 cars of this model were registered.
BMW is in second place. UAH 13.7 billion was spent on cars of this brand. The leader is the BMW X5 (986 units).
The purchase of Mercedes-Benz cars cost UAH 10.9 billion, giving the automaker the third result. The best seller is the Mercedes-Benz GLE (1061 sales).
Volkswagen took the fourth place – UAH 8.9 billion. The top seller is the VW ID.4 (2655 units). Skoda closes the top five – UAH 5.7 billion. The biggest demand was for the Skoda Kodiaq (1,307 units).
We remind you that the market for electric cars in Ukraine has almost tripled over the year. In December 2023, the Ukrainian car fleet was filled with more than 4.6 thousand vehicles powered by battery power sources, which is almost three times more than a year earlier. Of this amount, over 4.5 thousand are passenger cars and 78 are commercial electric vehicles.
As reported, from December 20 to December 31, 2023, Ukrainians by application Diya 1,504 vehicles were sold.
