Last December, Ukrainian banks imported $1.33 billion in foreign cash into the country.
The amount of foreign currency cash imported by Ukrainian banks in December 2023 reached $1 billion 330 million. This is the highest amount since February 2014 (3 billion 208 million dollars), according to data from the National Bank of Ukraine.
According to NBU statistics, throughout last year, banks imported 9 billion 463 million dollars, including 7 billion 842 million dollars and euros in the equivalent of 1 billion 531 million dollars.

According to the regulator, in 2023, currencies worth $774 million were exported from Ukraine.

Earlier it was reported that the National Bank reduced the sale of dollars from reserves due to the decrease in the foreign currency deficit. Thus, during the week of January 15-19, $530.90 million was sold in the interbank foreign exchange market; sales were down 21.1% compared to the previous week.
