The average dollar selling rate decreased to 38.25 hryvnia, and the euro exchange rate decreased to 41.80 hryvnia.
The hryvnia exchange rate strengthened sharply against the dollar and the euro on the cash market on the last working day of the week. RBC-Ukraine reported this in connection with monitoring data on Friday, January 19.
Today, the average selling rate of the dollar fell by another 20 kopecks – to 38.25 Hryvnia, the euro fell by 25 kopecks – to 41.80 Hryvnia.
Exchange offices bought dollars for an average of 37.75 hryvnias, and euros for 41.10 hryvnias.
In the interbank market, the American currency rate is at the level of 37.55-37.58 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) – a decrease of 10 kopecks compared to the previous day’s close.
The National Bank of Ukraine today significantly reduced the dollar exchange rate – to 37.7094 UAH per 1 dollar (-0.1883 UAH). The euro exchange rate is 41.0146 UAH per 1 euro (-0.1954 UAH).
Let us remind you that in the past week the dollar exchange rate has decreased significantly and fell below 38 Hryvnia in the interbank market. The reason for this is the decrease in the foreign currency deficit, which is why the National Bank reduced the sale of dollars. In general, since the beginning of 2024, the dollar has fallen in price more than the hryvnia.
