About 2,000 jobs will be created in the park, which will be a group of industrial enterprises for processing wood and manufacturing wood products.
At a meeting on Friday, January 12, the Cabinet of Ministers decided to create another industrial park in Transcarpathia. Prime Minister Denis Shmygal announced this on Telegram.
According to him, we are talking about long-term investments worth more than 5 billion Hryvnias and the creation of almost two thousand new jobs.
“This year, for the first time in the budget, we allocated funds for the expansion of the network of industrial parks. This is 1 billion hryvnias, which will give strength to the development of these industrial sites, ” said Shmygal.
In addition, UAH 3 billion will be allocated for state support of large investment projects in Ukraine. “We will support farmers, the construction industry, and the creation and expansion of processing businesses,” said the Prime Minister.
The Ministry of Economy reported that the BF Terminal industrial park in the Beregovsky district of the Transcarpathian region was included in the register of industrial parks. The park specializes in the production of MDF and CLT boards, laminate and parquet. A transshipment complex will operate on the territory of the park.
“It is important that the production waste from the local existing wood processing enterprises can be used in the production of products. Therefore, the creation of the park will have an enhanced positive effect on the economy of the entire region,” said the department.
BF Terminal became the first park to be included in this year’s register of industrial parks and the 74th on this list.
Let’s recall that in October last year the Cabinet of Ministers increased the number of industrial parks in Ukraine. The parks will support the manufacturing industry and create more than 1,800 jobs.
In November 2023, Denmark signed the first contracts for investments in Ukraine.
