The average selling rate of the dollar increased by another 5 kopecks – to 39.35 Hryvnia, the euro rate increased by 10 kopecks – to 43.05 Hryvnia.
The hryvnia exchange rate slowed its decline against the dollar at exchange offices. RBC-Ukraine reported this in connection with market monitoring data on Tuesday, January 9.
So, the average dollar selling rate increased by 5 kopecks – to 39.35 Hryvnia, the euro exchange rate increased by 10 kopecks – to 43.05 Hryvnia.
Today, exchange offices buy dollars for an average of 38.85 hryvnia, euros for 42.05 hryvnia.
In the interbank market, the American currency rate is at the level of 38.29-38.31 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) – an increase of 7 kopecks compared to the previous day’s close.
The previous day, the NBU raised the official dollar exchange rate to another maximum – 38.192 UAH per 1 dollar (+0.1145 UAH). The euro exchange rate is 41.7973 UAH per 1 euro (+0.2243 UAH).
Earlier, the National Bank explained the record demand for foreign currency. At the same time, the regulator claims that the situation remains under control thanks to a sufficient number of interventions.
