The average dollar selling rate increased to 39.30 Hryvnia, the euro exchange rate increased to 42.95 Hryvnia.
The hryvnia exchange rate continues to decline against the dollar and euro on the cash market. RBC-Ukraine reported this with reference to market monitoring data on Monday, January 8.
So, the average dollar selling rate increased by another 10 kopecks – to 39.30 UAH, the euro exchange rate increased by 5 kopecks – to 42.95 UAH.
Today, exchange offices buy dollars for an average of 38.80 UAH, euros for 42.00 UAH.
In the interbank market, the American currency rate is at the level of 38.15-38.20 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) – an increase of 12 kopecks compared to the previous day’s close.
The National Bank today increased the dollar exchange rate to 38.0775 UAH per 1 dollar (+0.0363 UAH). The euro exchange rate is 41.573 UAH per 1 euro (-0.0935 UAH).
Earlier, the National Bank explained the record demand for foreign currency. At the same time, the regulator claims that the situation remains under control thanks to a sufficient number of interventions.
At the same time, the NBU reduced the sale of foreign currency last week.
