The United States has given Ukraine 34 military aid packages totaling more than $24 billion by 2023. President Vladimir Zelensky talks about this reported on social network X on Thursday, December 28.
The head of state noted the importance of this year’s latest military aid package in the amount of $250 million provided by the United States.
“Additional missiles and air defense components, anti-tank weapons, ammunition, mine clearance and other equipment will meet Ukraine’s most urgent needs,” Zelensky said.
He is convinced that US leadership in a coalition of more than 50 countries providing military assistance to Ukraine is crucial for countering terrorism and aggression.
“This year, the United States has provided 34 military aid packages worth more than $24 billion. Patriot, Abrams, armored vehicles, ATACMS, DPICM, air defense, missiles, artillery shells, mine clearance and other critical equipment. A historic decision was made to provide Ukraine F-16. We will always be grateful for all this support,” Zelensky said.
The President emphasized the need to continue to resist Russian aggression as forcefully and decisively as possible.
Let’s recall that the previous Defense Minister Rustem Umerov assured that Western support will remain and that Ukraine, taking into account the help of its allies, is planning upcoming offensive operations.
British Foreign Secretary David Cameron said Britain is considering providing more aid to Ukraine by 2024.
