Among the used cars imported into Ukraine this year, gasoline cars predominate.
From the beginning of 2023, Ukrainians bought 191 thousand used passenger cars imported from abroad. The number is 3.5 times higher than the sales of new cars in the same period. The press service of Ukravtoprom reported this on Thursday, December 28.
The average age of used cars that switched to Ukrainian license plates this year is 10.3 years.
This segment is dominated by gasoline vehicles, which account for 45% of the market. It is followed by diesel cars – 33%; electric cars – 14%; cars with HBO – 5%; hybrids – 3%.
As for models, depending on the type of engine, the following prevail in used passenger cars imported from abroad:

in gasoline cars – Volkswagen Golf;

in the diesel segment and cars with LPG – Renault Megane;

in electric cars – Nissan Leaf;

in terms of hybrids – Ford Fusion US.
We remind you that in November, 21.7 thousand used passenger cars imported from abroad received Ukrainian license plates, which is a record figure for almost a year and a half. The demand for electric vehicles has also increased in Ukraine. In November alone, Ukrainians bought 4.3 thousand electric cars, which is almost three times more than a year ago.
