This is the second significant recall of electric vehicles in recent weeks for the American company.
US electric car maker Tesla is recalling more than 120,000 Model S and X models in the US due to a potential problem that could cause an unlocked door to open during a crash. Reuters reported this on Friday, December 22, citing reports from the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
It was revealed that Tesla is recalling 120,423 cars.
“They do not meet federal safety standards for impact protection and, in particular, pose a risk of unlocking the interior doors during an accident,” the report said.
Tesla has released a free software update to address this issue, and written communications to owners are scheduled to be sent in February.
The demand for electric vehicles is growing in Ukraine. In November 2023 alone, Ukrainians bought 4.3 thousand electric cars, which is almost three times more than a year ago.
Electric vehicles of the Volkswagen Group, which owns the brands Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, Bentley and others, can be charged at Tesla stations.
