An office was opened in Ukraine based on the National Research Foundation Horizon Europe. The purpose of its activities is to integrate Ukrainian innovators into the European research space, as well as integration between the scientific communities of the EU and Ukraine. The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine reported this on Wednesday, December 20.
“Science, innovation and technology are taking on a new meaning and should become a trend in our society. Our task is to ensure that the intellectual property products of Ukraine play an important role in the development of the European Union,” said the Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Educational Development, science and technology – Minister of Digital Transformation Mikhail Fedorov.
This has already been mentioned Horizon Europe – the largest program of the European Union for funding science and innovation, with a budget of 95.5 billion euros for the period 2021-2027.
“Particular attention and the largest amount of funding in the program is given for overcoming global economic challenges and the EU’s industrial capacity, in particular, close cooperation between science and innovative business,” said department.
Office Horizon Europe is involved in: supporting scientific organizations of Ukraine in preparing requests for funding, holding information events about opportunities for cooperation in the field of science and innovation, helping to find partners for projects in the EU and around the world, raising awareness of success stories and working on specific problems of project implementation in Ukraine, advising on policies related to Ukraine’s integration into the European research area, etc.
Ukraine, Great Britain and Estonia signed a memorandum of digital cooperation on the development and implementation of solutions in the field of artificial intelligence and open data for e-government.
Earlier, the Ministry of Digital Development reported that Ukrainians were being prepared for “smart mobilization.”
