Ukrainian tax authorities have fined the company that operates the PornHub website. This was announced by the head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy, Daniil Getmantsev, on Telegram on Monday, December 18.
According to him, not all payers who operate services for adults treat taxation equally. As a positive example, he mentioned the well-known Onlyfans service, which has already paid 944.1 thousand dollars to the state budget of Ukraine since the beginning of 2023.
“At the same time, the company that operates the PornHub website evades registration, and therefore a fine of $5,543 was applied to it and the corresponding PPR was sent to the company and the Canada Revenue Agency,” wrote the people’s representative.
Getmantsev recalled that every penny of the so-called “Google tax” goes to finance the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and Ukraine, according to PornHub’s rating, is in 14th place among other countries according to perspective on this site.
We remind you that at the beginning of October 2023, international companies transferred 10.2 billion hryvnias of “Google tax” to the state budget. The biggest payers of VAT on digital services are Google, Google Play and Netflix.
