The gas pumping capacity of Russia’s gas pipeline has been reduced due to problems at the Portovaya compressor station.
Gazprom will reduce gas supplies through the Nord Stream 1 gas pipeline by 40%, the company’s press service reported on Tuesday, June 14th.

“Gas supplies to the Nord Stream gas pipeline can currently be provided in the amount of up to 100 million cubic meters per day,” the report said.
The planned delivery volume is 167 million cubic meters per day.
The reduction in deliveries to Gazprom is explained by the situation at the Portovaya compressor station. In particular, Siemens returned the gas pumping units from repair in no time.
Gazprom also announced problems with the development of the overhaul life of the GPU and the identified technical errors of the machines (an order from Rostekhnadzor on a temporary ban on activities was received).
“Currently, only three gas pumping units can be used at the Portovaya compressor station,” the company said.
As you know, in January-April, Gazprom reduced gas transit to Ukraine by 35.7% to 9 billion cubic meters.
