In the interbank market, the exchange rate of the American currency has reached the level of 37 hryvnia – an increase of 8 kopecks compared to the previous day.
The hryvnia exchange rate fell sharply against the dollar and euro on the cash market. RBC-Ukraine reported this in connection with monitoring data on Tuesday, December 12.
So, the average dollar rate increased by another 20 kopecks – to 37.75 UAH, the euro rate increased by 25 kopecks – to 40.75 UAH.
In exchange offices they buy a dollar for an average of 37.25 Hryvnia, and a euro for 39.95 Hryvnia.
In the interbank market, the American currency rate is at the level of 36.97-37.00 (buying and selling) – an increase of 8 kopecks compared to the previous day’s close.
Yesterday, the National Bank also increased the dollar exchange rate to the level of 36.8716 UAH per 1 dollar (+0.1292 UAH). The euro exchange rate is 39.6738 UAH per 1 euro (+0.0728 UAH).
We remind you that from December 1, the National Bank removed all restrictions on the sale of cash currency to the population. After that, cash and official rates began to converge. The regulator believes this will help stabilize exchange rate expectations and increase the stability of the foreign exchange market.
It was also reported that in the past week the NBU reduced the sale of foreign currency in the interbank market by almost $200 million.
