The concept for the restoration of the quarter will be developed in compliance with all urban planning and barrier-free requirements and correspond to modern global trends, Akhmetov’s company reported.
The company Metinvest-SMC will develop a free concept for the restoration of a quarter destroyed by the Russians in the city of Bakhmut (Donetsk region). This was reported by the press service of the Metinvest group on Thursday, December 7.
“Metinvest-SMC, the sales company of the Metinvest group, will develop for free a concept for the restoration of the quarter destroyed by the Russians in Bakhmut according to the Steel Dream projects. This is the second city after Mariupol to volunteer restore housing using prefab solutions – a technology that uses building elements pre-fabricated in factories”, says the message.
The company noted that more than 17.5 thousand people lived in the Yubileiny quarter with an area of 85.7 hectares. There are 94 residential buildings of 5-10 floors, five kindergartens, two schools, a cinema and a supermarket. Currently, the level of destruction of buildings in Yubileiny is estimated at 70%.
“The concept for the restoration of the quarter will be developed in compliance with all urban planning and requirements without obstacles and corresponding to modern global trends. The presentation of the concept is planned at the end of February 2024,” the Metinvest press service clarified.

According to Tatyana Skripka, head of the Metinvest-SMC construction sector project office, the group is ready to provide steel for restoration.
“Metinvest is ready to supply steel for the restoration, and we are ready to give all our experience and expertise so that after the success we can immediately start the construction,” she noted.
Let’s recall that in October it was reported that the Metinvest group proposed a Prefab solution that would allow the reconstruction of housing destroyed during the war twice as fast. In particular, this technology implies that the building is constructed from ready-made large elements of factory production according to ready-made designs. Projects are developed for 13 types of steel buildings up to eight stories high, or 200 ready-made projects, taking into account various design options, layouts and number of floors.
