The network consists of nine legal entities and five individuals located in six countries, including the Russian Federation.
The United States has imposed sanctions against a defense procurement network that supplied military electronics to the Russian Federation. This was reported by the US Department of the Treasury.
“The US Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control targeted a network led by Belgian Hans de Goetere that procured military electronics for Russian end users,” the report said.
The network consists of nine legal entities and five individuals in the Russian Federation, Belgium, Cyprus, Sweden, Hong Kong and the Netherlands.
The US Department of Justice also issued two separate indictments against Hans de Goetere related to his multi-year scheme to illegally export classified military-grade technology from the United States to end users in China and Russia Federation.
Treasury Under Secretary for Counterterrorism and Financial Intelligence Brian Nelson said the coordinated action reflects a collective commitment to enforcing sanctions and export controls.
As we wrote earlier, on September 18, a court in Finland took custody of Gabriel Temin, who is suspected of violating the terms of the sanctions against Russia.
