We are talking about a large amount of money, which is very necessary for Ukraine in war conditions, said Daniil Getmantsev.
At the end of November, the Ukrainian state budget lost 9.3 billion Hryvnias in customs payments due to the blocking of three checkpoints on the border with Poland. The head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy, Danilo Getmantsev, said this in a telethon on Tuesday, December 5.
“If we talk about the budget, then based on the results of November we can clearly determine that the budget lost 9.3 billion hryvnias from deficits in customs payments. This is a large amount of money that was not received of the fighting army, which we need now,” he said.
Getmantsev also confirmed information from the Ministry of Economy about a 40% drop in exports through the relevant land checkpoints.
“Today we did not fulfill the customs plan by 19%. This is despite the fact that the customs was over fulfilled in October. Therefore, there are very negative consequences from this provocation,” he emphasized.
The People’s Deputy also recalled the statements from the carriers “about the loss of 400 million euros in the first two weeks alone of this senseless blockade.”
We remind you that on November 6, a strike by Polish carriers began on the Polish-Ukrainian border. They demand the abolition of the transport visa-free regime for Ukraine and the return of the permit system for Ukrainian drivers.
However, on December 4, the Cabinet of Ministers announced that Ukraine has completed all measures to unblock the border with Poland, which was agreed with the European Commission and Warsaw. They also noted that there are already changes in the issue of the border blockade, as the Ugrinov-Dolgobychev checkpoint has been opened.
