The American currency began to rise in price on the interbank market after restrictions on the cash market were lifted.
The National Bank increased the dollar exchange rate for the second time in a row after removing restrictions on the cash market. This was confirmed by data on the regulator’s website on Monday, December 4.
The official dollar exchange rate for Tuesday is set at UAH 36.5383. for 1 dollar (+0.0777 UAH). The euro exchange rate tomorrow will be 39.7135 UAH per 1 euro (+0.0553 UAH).
In the interbank market, the dollar exchange rate increased by 9 kopecks – to 36.55-36.57 UAH/dollar (buying and selling).
Meanwhile, on the cash market, the American currency fell by 10 kopecks to 37.40 hryvnia per dollar.
We remind you that from December 1, the National Bank removed all restrictions on the sale of cash currency to the population. The regulator believes this will help stabilize exchange rate expectations and increase the stability of the foreign exchange market.
And in early October, the NBU announced the transition to a flexible dollar exchange rate. The regulator promised to significantly limit changes in the exchange rate, preventing both a significant weakening of the hryvnia and a significant strengthening.
