Two companies from the UAE and one from Liberia and three tankers associated with them are on the US sanctions list.
The United States of America on Friday, December 1, imposed sanctions against three tankers carrying Russian oil. The restrictions were introduced according to the list of sanctions against Russia. This was reported by the US Treasury Department.
The sanctions list includes two companies from the UAE and one from Liberia and three tankers associated with them.
Deputy Treasury Secretary Wally Adeyemo said ensuring that prices for Russian oil are capped is a top priority for the United States and its coalition partners.
“By targeting these companies and their ships, we support the dual purpose of the price cap: limiting Russia’s oil revenues while promoting the stability of global energy markets,” the official explained.
We remind you that the US Treasury has sent letters warning of imprisonment in the case of violation of the price ceiling for Russian oil to 30 companies that control up to hundreds of oil tankers.
It should be noted that the Greek owners of oil tankers have decided to reduce the amount of Russian crude oil they transport.
