Ukrzaliznytsia does not expect an increase in the cost of cargo transportation by 20% from January 1. But the company may index them due to the increase in the price of some railway components. “According to the financial plan, no increase is given. But the question of possible indexation remains open. But this indexation, whether it will be applied or not, will be decided by our shareholder – the Cabinet of Ministers. Now we have nothing precise information about the increase. Therefore, any information about it is false, “- he said at a meeting with exporters.
At the same time, Tkachev said that the issue of indexing the cost of cargo transportation exists.
“Our fuel cost has increased over the year. But whether to accept the indexation or not is decided by the Cabinet of Ministers and the Ministry of Reconstruction. It is still under discussion. I have no information about the increase,” added of the representative of Ukrzaliznytsia.
At the same time, he also said that Uzbekistan has asked the government to unify the tariff system so that grain traders and shippers of grain cargoes can pay slightly less than transporting cargo by rail. According to him, such work is ongoing to unify the tariffs.
Remind us that recently information appeared about the intention of Ukrzaliznytsia to increase tariffs for cargo transportation by 20%. As of July 2022, the company has already increased tariffs by 70% – this led to an increase in the cost of Ukrainian products and a reduction in enterprise production volumes, even in conditions where exporters do not have alternative routes .
