This was reported today, November 23, on the Ukrenergo Telegram channel.
It is noted that yesterday, November 22, repairs were underway at several units of thermal power plants,
We urge Ukrainians to carefully consume electricity throughout the day. Do not turn on powerful electrical devices at the same time, turn off the lights in empty rooms, transfer washing to the night hours, Ukrenergo notes.
Ukrenergo notes that they are looking for ways to cover the deficit.
Disconnection of consumers is not predicted, the company notes.
The reason for the shortage of electricity is an increase in consumption due to cold weather – this entailed additional load on power plants, which, in turn, led to the shutdown and emergency repair of several units.
As of this morning:
- due to weather conditions, four settlements in the Chernihiv region were disconnected;
- due to military operations and other reasons, 409 settlements remain without electricity;
- due to shelling, there are new damages in the networks of oblenergos in the Dnepropetrovsk, Donetsk, Kharkov, and Kherson regions. Emergency restoration work is carried out depending on the security situation and with the permission of the military.
