“The funding will be used to partially cover the costs of the state budget of Ukraine incurred to restore pension and wage payments for health workers under the medical guarantee program,” the statement said.
It is indicated that this money is part of the fifth additional financing of the project “Supporting public expenditures to ensure sustainable public administration in Ukraine” PEACE in Ukraine.
The loan is given on preferential terms: the repayment period is 19 years with a 5-year grace period.
The total amount of financial aid to the UK from February 2022 is $2 billion.
It was previously known that the UK, together with its partners, is implementing an Emergency Assistance Plan for Ukraine over the winter. It cost £127 million.
