The majority of potatoes were grown in the Zhytomyr region – more than 2 million tons and the Khmelnytsky region – 1.98 million tons.
At the beginning of November, Ukrainian farmers harvested almost 29 million tons of vegetables. Most of all potatoes – 21.2 million tons, as well as 7.1 million tons of cabbage, cucumbers, tomatoes, carrots. This was reported by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
Potatoes were harvested in an area of 1,183 thousand hectares. The leaders in its production are the Zhytomyr region – more than 2 million tons and the Khmelnytsky region – 1.98 million tons.
All other vegetables are collected in an area of 367.6 thousand hectares, the production reaches 7.1 million tons of crops, especially:

tomatoes – 1.4 million tons,

cabbage – 1.3 million tons,

onions – 877 thousand tons,

carrots – 810 thousand tons,

beets – 766 thousand tons,

cucumbers – 681 thousand tons,

other vegetables – 1.3 million tons.
The Dnepropetrovsk region also became a leader in vegetable harvesting, with 780 thousand tons of crops there.
Farmers in the Mykolayiv region grew more tomatoes – 275 thousand tons. The most abundant cabbage is in Lviv region – 234 thousand tons, cucumbers in Kyiv region – 72.8 thousand tons.
Melon crops were collected in an area of 29.8 thousand hectares with a production of 283 thousand tons, including watermelons – 214 thousand tons, melons – 69 thousand tons.
Leaders in the collection of melons are also farmers of the Dnepropetrovsk region; they grew 64 thousand tons of melons and watermelons.
As already written, Ukraine has already harvested about 74 million tons of crops. The agrarians of Zaporozhye and Nikolaev regions completed the collection of all agricultural crops.
Let’s add that in Ukraine the harvest forecast has improved many times. At the end of September, it was estimated at 79 million tons. This is +10% on last year’s result.
