The Business Ombudsman received 310 complaints from entrepreneurs about the unfair behavior of state regulatory authorities and closed 180 cases based on the results of work in the third quarter of 2023. In early November, 99 that case is still under investigation. The portal of the Ministry of Finance writes about this with reference to the report of the ombudsman.
It was noted that for the first time during martial law, the largest number of complaints from businesses were received regarding the tax audit, which moved the problems of registering tax invoices to the second place.
“In July-September 2023, 176 or 58% of complaints related to tax issues, compared to approximately 70% in the first and second quarters of 2023,” the report said.
In addition to tax issues, in the third quarter the Rada continued to receive complaints about abuses by law enforcement agencies and customs – their number was 13% and 9%, respectively.
According to its own assessment, in the third quarter the Ombudsman Council helped businesses return UAH 305.6 million. Since the beginning of its activities, the value of the Rada’s financial impact has reached UAH 25 billion.
The Verkhovna Rada adopted the lifting of the moratorium on tax audits.
As reported, on November 8, 2023, the parliament passed a law redirecting the so-called military tax on personal income (NDFL) from local budgets to the state budget to direct these funds mainly to purchase of drones and weapons.
