Production at the Tamar field in the Mediterranean is expected to reach full capacity within days.
The American oil and gas company Chevron continued supplies of natural gas from the Tamar field, located on the Levant Sea shelf (eastern part of the Mediterranean Sea. – Ed.). It was reported by the Financial Times.
This happened after an order from the Israeli Ministry of Energy.
According to sources, production in the field is expected to reach full capacity within a few days.
It will be recalled that Chevron, which operates the field, was ordered to suspend the operation of the field, which is the main source of gas for Israeli power plants and industry, at the beginning of Israel’s war with Hamas in the Gaza Strip on October 7.
As you know, on October 7, the Palestinian radical group Hamas, based in Gaza, attacked Israel. In response, the Israel Defense Forces launched a military operation against Hamas.
The number of victims of the attack in Israel reached 1,400 people, in Gaza they say more than 11,000 died.
