Diesel and gasoline for the army will be color coded. This will be done to reduce the theft of fuel intended for the military. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine on Telegram on Saturday, November 11.
Now suppliers of diesel fuel for the Ukrainian Armed Forces will dye it red, and add green dye to the fuel.
The Ministry of Defense plans to establish supplies of such labeled fuel as early as next week. This fuel will reach the troops by the end of November.
“The marking makes it possible to identify and trace the fuel purchased only for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and reduces the possibility of its illegal sale. In addition, a certain color will eliminate the possibility of land abuse regarding fuel mixtures,” the department said.
Labeled gasoline cannot be diluted so that the color disappears completely. The Ministry of Defense has promised that due to the innovations, the price of diesel and gasoline will not change.
Let’s recall that earlier law enforcement officers exposed the former Deputy Minister of Defense for embezzlement of almost 1 billion Hryvnia. Meanwhile, Lithuania offered Ukrainian advisers to help implement reforms and fight corruption.
Gas and gasoline are becoming more expensive: why are gasoline prices rising?
