The company says the layouts can be moved and positions changed. At a distance they are indistinguishable from real MLRS.
Metinvest Group has started making mock-ups of the American Himars multiple launch rocket system. The operating director of the group, Alexander Mironenko, spoke about this in one of his interviews, reports the press service of Metinvest.
According to him, now in front there are several copies of HIMARS mock-ups, which at a distance cannot be distinguished from the real ones.
“Our models even move and change positions. And they look like real cars and perform their function,” said Mironenko.

He added that the production locations for the mock-ups are kept secret and are located outside the company’s facilities to maintain maximum secrecy and protect workers.
Let’s recall that in August it became known that Metinvest began to make mock-ups of equipment designed to mislead the enemy. According to Mironenko, the main production is the Soviet howitzers D-20, D-30, American M777, as well as several types of radar stations and electronic warfare systems.
According to the American publication The Wall Street Journal, Russian troops destroyed more than half of the 250 models of equipment collected and transferred by Metinvest to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
