Trademarks bearing the name and logo of UIA and subsidiary company MAUtechnik, which repaired the aircraft, have been sold, the industry publication reports.
The property of Ukraine International Airlines (UIA), the largest in Ukraine before the start of the full Russian invasion, is being sold at auctions by the state enterprise SETAM. This was reported by the industry publication avianews.com.
It is reported that the trademarks with the name and logo of UIA and the subsidiary company MAUtechnik, which repairs the aircraft, have been sold.
“A 99% share in MAUtechnik, a 62.43% share in the handling company Interavia, which checked in passengers and served planes at Ukrainian airports, as well as an air ticket office in the center of Kiev, went under the hammer. Today SETAM sells spare parts for aircraft and tools for the maintenance of airliners. At the auction you can buy seats for aircraft, an installation for washing cars aircraft, aircraft parts and carriers for aircraft transport,” the publication said.
All UIA trademarks put up for auction were bought by Okealos Company LLC, which was done on July 29, 2022. The same company bought the most expensive lot – a 62.43% share from the holding company Interavia for in UAH 38.9 million.
Air ticket offices in the center of Kyiv were sold to Konstantin Gerasimenko for UAH 6.7 million, and Oleg Tkachuk bought a 99% share from MAUtechnik for UAH 195.
