“As a result, for January-September 2023, growth is estimated at 5.3% compared to the corresponding period last year,” the report said.
According to the department, most of the main economic activities showed positive results in September. Thus, there has been a restoration of the economic activity of enterprises in many sectors of the processing industry and the manufacturing sector in general.
A significant positive contribution to GDP in September was made by the service sector, the food industry, mechanical engineering and production of building materials, and the mining industry.
At the same time, the biggest limiting factor for economic growth in September remains: the security situation, the deterioration of the production capacities of individual enterprises (mainly in the east of the country) and logistical restrictions for exporters .
Earlier, the IMF upgraded its forecast in April for the growth rate of the Ukrainian economy from a decline of 3% to growth of 2% this year.
And the Ministry of Economy believes that in 2023 the Ukrainian economy will grow by 5%.
