The innovation is intended to simplify the conditions for the legalization of more than 500 thousand self-employed people, the MP explained.
Bill No. 10166 was registered in the Verkhovna Rada, which provides for the introduction of a special regime for taxation of income received by individuals from certain types of activities. We are talking, in particular, about couriers, taxi drivers, manicurists, hairdressers, etc. This was announced by People’s Deputy of Ukraine Yaroslav Zheleznyak.
As Zheleznyak explained, the innovation is designed to simplify the conditions for the legalization of more than 500 thousand self-employed people (20 types of activities), and will also help determine the legal framework for those activity of online platforms in accordance with the requirements of the Directive on Administrative Cooperation (DAC7) for the automatic exchange of information between operators of digital platforms.
This is due to the intention to integrate Ukrainian legislation with the European Union.
“The law will create a clear and understandable regulation of the activities of online platforms. After all, Uber, Bolt, Uklon, Glovo alone have more than 300 thousand self-employed drivers and couriers! (There are more more on these platforms – Kabanchik, etc., their number is growing) “, said Zheleznyak.
The People’s Deputy added that such a platform for providing income tax data of such self-employed individuals would solve the problem of accounting for cash receipts.
“This is the shadowing of the economy and a significant step forward in the digitalization of taxes,” said Zheleznyak.
Among the advantages for the state, the representative of the people named:
-
additional budget revenue,
-
creating the opportunity to “just pay taxes” for more than 500 thousand self-employed people,
-
creating clear conditions for the activities of “digital platform operators”.
The benefits for citizens, as Zheleznyak writes, are as follows:
-
simplification and automation of accounting,
-
low tax – 6% (for this category of self-employed there is no need to register a sole proprietorship, hire accountants, or submit reports).
The People’s Deputy noted that Ukrainians can switch to paying taxes under such a special regime if they wish.
“Anyone who wants to stay with the system they are familiar with, which is in effect today,” the message said.
Earlier it was reported that the Cabinet of Ministers will fine people for the names “champagne” and “cognac”.
