The National Bank raised the official dollar exchange rate again. It has gone beyond the level of switching to flexibility mode. This was confirmed by data on the regulator’s website on Thursday, October 19.
So, the official Hryvnia exchange rate for tomorrow is set at 36.6118 UAH/1 dollar. (+0.0502 UAH). And the euro exchange rate will be 38.6511 UAH/1 euro (+0.0421 UAH).
In the interbank market today, the exchange rate of the American currency increased by only 1 kopeck – to 36.59-36.61 UAH/USD. (buying and selling).
In the currency market, the dollar exchange rate did not change – 38.15 hryvnia per dollar and was at the level before the NBU’s decision to switch to a flexible exchange rate.
We remind you that last week the NBU sold $575 million in the interbank market. This is half as much as in the first week after the exchange rate policy change, which indicated the stabilization of the general market situation. At the same time, the official hryvnia exchange rate has been falling for three days in a row.
