The American billionaire denied information about blocking X for users in Europe.
The owner of X (formerly Twitter), Elon Musk, denied information about the alleged withdrawal of the social network from the European market through a new digital law. This is what he says reported at X on Thursday, October 19th.
“This is an absolute lie,” Musk wrote.
The billionaire responded to a report from The Business Insider, according to which he is reportedly considering blocking the social network for EU users due to EU requirements. The impetus for this is the alleged dissatisfaction of the owner of X with the DSA’s digital law.
The DSA (Digital Services Act) obliges the largest Internet platforms, among other things, to consistently and immediately counter hate speech.
Recall that Company X recently received a list of questions from the European Commission, which wanted more detailed information about how the service fulfills its obligations.
