The dollar exchange rate remains stable in the cash market and the interbank market. RBC-Ukraine reported this in connection with market monitoring data on Thursday, October 19.
This morning, the average dollar exchange rate in Ukraine did not change – 38.15 UAH, the euro exchange rate fell by 5 kopecks – to 40.50 UAH.
Today in exchange offices they buy a dollar for an average of 37.65 UAH, and a euro for 39.80 UAH.
In the interbank market the rate is at the level of 36.60-36.62 (buying and selling). It is unchanged from the previous closing day.
The National Bank again significantly increased the official dollar exchange rate and returned to the level it was before the transition to the managed flexibility regime. The official hryvnia to dollar exchange rate is set at 36.5616 UAH/1 dollar. (+0.1109 UAH). The euro exchange rate is 38.609 UAH per 1 euro (+0.0587 UAH).
We remind you that last week the NBU sold $575 million in the interbank market. This is half as much as in the first week after the exchange rate policy change, which indicated the stabilization of the general market situation. At the same time, yesterday the hryvnia exchange rate has been decreasing for two days both in the interbank market and in the cash market.
