Last year’s payments of 4 billion zlotys are estimated to increase to 6 billion this year.
Ukrainian businessmen working in Poland last year paid contributions to the Polish Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) in the amount of 4 billion zlotys ($927 million at the current exchange rate), and this year they expect an increase in payments this by 50% – up to 6 billion zlotys. Interfax-Ukraine agency reported this on October 10, citing Jadwiga Emilewicz, Commissioner of the Polish Government for Polish-Ukrainian Development Cooperation.
He clarified that 30 thousand Ukrainian entrepreneurs are registered in Poland, and the dynamics of social contributions from them should be taken into account during the discussion about the wishes and assistance for Ukrainian citizens.
“Ukraine and Poland often speak at a higher diplomatic temperature. But at the same time, exports from Poland to Ukraine grew by 55% last year, and exports from Ukraine until Poland grew by 40%, “he emphasized at the Second Ukraine Recovery Forum , which was organized during the days in Warsaw by the Polish Agency for Investment and Trade (PAIH).
Remind us that in July PAIH resumed the work of its representative office in Kyiv. The agency has compiled a register of Polish companies interested in the restoration of Ukraine, which includes more than 2.5 thousand enterprises.
Earlier it was reported that some Ukrainian migrants left Poland and moved to Germany.
