Google will require multiple email accounts to verify their email address.
Google is making it harder for spammers to send messages to Gmail users. CNBC reported this.
Email users who send more than 5,000 messages per day to Gmail users will be required to offer them a one-click button to unsubscribe from their messages, the company said.
Google will also require multiple email accounts to verify their email address and set up systems to prove they own their domain name and don’t care for IP addresses.
The changes will take effect in February 2024.
The move from Google reportedly highlights the ongoing battle between big tech companies and spammers who use open systems like email to send fraudulent messages.
It is noted that for many years, machine learning methods have been used to fight spam, but this fight continues to this day, as spammers find new ways to bypass installed filters.
We remind you that the media wrote that Google began to block services for sanctioned companies in Russia.
It was previously reported that Google, starting in December 2023, will delete accounts that have been inactive for two years.
