The interdepartmental working group examines all existing regulatory instruments in Ukraine and assesses their feasibility.
During the nine months of work of the Interdepartmental Working Group on Deregulation in Ukraine, 50 unnecessary permits were canceled, and 200 more are planned to be canceled next year. Deputy Minister of Economy Alexey Sobolev spoke about this in an interview Ukrinform.
“We have a special Interdepartmental Working Group, it was agreed by our Minister Yulia Sviridenko and the Minister of Digital Transformation Mikhail Fedorov – together we review all regulatory instruments that generally exist in the country and examining their feasibility. We have reviewed more than a thousand different permits in different areas and found that at least 250 need to be canceled. In nine months of work by this group, 50 unnecessary permits were canceled, and next year we will cancel the rest,” the deputy minister noted.
Permits are reported to be revoked when they become obsolete and no longer needed, or when there is duplication. An example is the double registration of documents for used cars.
Sobolev also said that the audit of business inspection inspectors is ongoing: there is also a duplication of powers there.
“We have thirty bodies that carry out more than 80 types of business inspections. It happens that three different bodies come to a business with similar checks, so it will be easier for the business if the checks that it is combined,” explained the deputy minister.
It was previously reported that the Ukrainian economy is recovering, despite the war.
