The World Bank transferred $100 million to Ukraine

The proceeds will be used to partially cover the costs of the state budget of Ukraine for the payment of pensions.

Ukraine received $100 million from the World Bank under a UK guarantee. The Ministry of Finance announced this on Monday, September 25.

“The specified funds are part of the fifth additional financing of the project Supporting public expenditures to ensure sustainable public administration in Ukraine PEACE in Ukraine,” the statement said.

The proceeds will be used to partially cover the costs of the state budget of Ukraine made to restore pension payments for July 2023.

“I thank the UK government and the World Bank team for their constructive cooperation and mobilization of financial resources for Ukraine’s urgent budgetary needs. state budget expenditures,” said Finance Minister Sergei Marchenko .

The total value of UK financial aid to Ukraine from February 2022 is $1.6 billion.

We remind you that on September 21, the United States gave Ukraine a grant of $1.25 billion. This money is given on non-refundable terms.

And the next day, Ukraine received 1.5 billion euros from the European Union. Overall, the budget support from the EU in 2023 already reaches 13.5 billion euros.
