It is prohibited to import into Ukraine from the Republic of Bulgaria pox-susceptible animals of sheep and goats, reproductive material from them, unprocessed wool and wool from sheep and goats.
Due to the registration of sheep and goat pox in Bulgaria, the import of these animals and products into Ukraine is limited. This was reported by the Eastern Interregional State Administration of the State Food and Consumer Service with respect to the order of the Chief State Veterinary Inspector.
“The import into Ukraine from the Republic of Bulgaria of sheep and goat pox-susceptible animals, reproductive material from them, unprocessed wool and wool from sheep and goats,” the message said.
Earlier, Ukraine filed a case at the World Trade Organization (WTO) against three Eastern European countries that unilaterally extended the grain import ban, despite the fact that the European Commission lifted the restrictive measures.
