The repair of the main gas pipeline in the section between Ukraine and Moldova has been completed. This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian GTS Operator on September 13.

It was noted that the gas pipeline ensures the supply of blue fuel not only to Ukrainian consumers, but also to Moldova.
Restoration work is performed based on the results of previously performed in-line diagnostics.
The company emphasized that high work safety was achieved thanks to the use of a mobile nitrogen compressor station purchased last year.
“This is the first time that a nitrogen station has been used to repair a linear section of such a long length,” the release said.
At the end of the repair, hot work was carried out to connect the repaired section, and on September 9, the gas pipeline was put into operation in accordance with the established procedure.
The GTS operator recalled that at the end of August, the volume of natural gas transported from Moldova to Ukraine reached almost 170 million m³, or 15% of all imports from Europe.
Let’s recall that at a government meeting on September 12, Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal said that preparations for winter in Ukraine are entering the final stage. He also assured that the price of gas, heat and hot water will not change until the end of the heating season.
