The National Bank sold the lowest currency in three months

Overall, since the beginning of the year, the regulator sold more than $17 billion in the interbank market, and bought only $195 million.

The National Bank of Ukraine this week from September 4 to September 8 sold 302.74 million dollars, and bought only 470 thousand dollars. This was confirmed by the regulator’s data on Saturday, September 9.

The volume of sales in the interbank foreign exchange market was the lowest in three and a half months than last week ($638.32 million).

Overall, since the beginning of the year, the NBU has sold more than $17.1 billion and bought $195.8 million. The negative balance grew to $16.9 billion.

We remind you that in August the National Bank sold almost $2.4 billion, which is the largest volume since February of this year. As a result, Ukraine’s international reserves were reduced for the first time in six months.
