The Croatian side provided ports on the Danube and the Adriatic Sea for the transportation of Ukrainian grain.
Ukraine began exporting grain through Croatian ports. This was announced by the Ministry of Economy on Thursday, September 7.
It is indicated that Deputy Prime Minister of Economy Yulia Sviridenko discussed grain exports with Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic in a bilateral meeting at the Three Seas Initiative Summit in Bucharest.
“Ukrainian grain is already exported through Croatian ports. Thanks for this opportunity. This trade route, although suitable place, is already popular. We are ready to develop it by expanding the possibilities of the transport corridor . We believe that this logistics route plays an important role in bilateral trade between our countries even after the war,” said Sviridenko.
He and Plenkovich discussed the importance of jointly addressing the issue of restrictions on Ukrainian exports.
Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelensky discussed with the leadership of Croatia the issue of exporting grains against the backdrop of Russia’s actions in the Black Sea. The Croatian side confirmed its readiness to provide ports on the Danube and the Adriatic Sea for the transportation of Ukrainian grains.
