The budget of the Russian Federation is based on the main version of the socio-economic development forecast for 2023-2025, which assumes a gradual reduction in prices for the Urals.

The average price for the main brand of Russian oil Urals in January-August of this year decreased by 1.45 times compared to the same period in 2022 and reached $56.58 per barrel. This was announced by the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation on Friday, September 1.

“The average price of Urals oil in January-August 2023 was $56.58 per barrel, in January-August 2022 – $82.13 per barrel,” the message said.

According to the agency, the average price for Urals in August 2023 was $74 per barrel, which is about the same as in August 2022 ($74.73 per barrel). The price of North Sea Dated oil in August 2023 is $86.2.

It is known that the budget of the Russian Federation is based on the main version of the socio-economic development forecast for 2023-2025, which provides for a gradual decrease in Urals oil prices from $80 per barrel in 2022 to $65 per barrel in 2025 .

It should be noted that in the first half of 2023, Russia’s oil and gas revenues fell by almost 50%. Currently, the Russian Federation is trying to stimulate the increase in oil prices.

In particular, in early July, the aggressor country announced a reduction in oil exports to foreign markets.
