From now on, ships will only be loaded during a preliminary check of the legitimacy of the source of the grain.
A third of grain exporters in the Odessa region work in shadow schemes. This was announced by the head of the Odessa Regional Military Administration Oleg Kiper on Telegram on August 25.
The origin of the grain of 32 large export companies was analyzed, as well as their work. The data showed that only 21 companies operate under “white” schemes, including paying all taxes. The remaining 11 companies could not explain the origin of the grain being exported.
“It became known about the first results after making the order On some issues of financial discipline under the legal regime of martial lawimplemented on August 22. As expected, 30-40% of the subjects of the grain export market work in the shadows,” said Kiper.
The head of the OVA specified that law enforcement officials will deal with all those involved in the “schemes”. He also suggested that all exporters conclude a memorandum of work “in a white way” with the Odessa Regional Military Administration. 26 businesses have joined the initiative so far.
Also, exporters are reminded that in the future, loading of ships will only take place during a preliminary check of the legality of the origin of the grain. All customs declarations must be registered before export goods are loaded.
