The average dollar rate on the cash market rose by another 5 kopecks – to UAH 38.65, while the euro fell by 10 kopecks – to UAH 42.10.
The hryvnia continues to decline against the dollar in the cash market, but these rates have slowed down significantly. RBC-Ukraine reported this with reference to market monitoring data on Thursday, August 24.
Today, the average dollar rate grew by another 5 kopecks – up to 38.65 hryvnias, while the euro exchange rate fell by 10 kopecks – up to 42.10 hryvnias.
In the exchange offices, the dollar was bought at an average of 38.00 Hryvnia, the euro at 41.40 Hryvnia.
The official fixed dollar exchange rate of the NBU has not changed since July 21 last year – 36.5686 Hryvnia per dollar. On August 24, the official exchange rate of the euro dropped dramatically and now stands at 39.5343 hryvnia per euro (-0.2743 hryvnia).
Remember that the dollar started growing since the beginning of last week. During this period, the dollar increased in price by almost 1 hryvnia – from the level of 37.60 to 38.65 hryvnia per dollar.
Earlier it was reported that Ukraine may abandon the fixed hryvnia against the dollar even before the end of the war.
At the same time, financiers and the population worsened their forecasts for the dollar in the next 12 months.
