The funds will be used to reduce the amount of loans allocated by energy companies for the repair of damaged equipment and for passing the heating season.
The Cabinet of Ministers allocated UAH 350 million to the Energy Ministry to support energy companies. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmihal on Telegram on Saturday, August 19.
“We are intensifying preparations for the heating season. We are helping to restore critical energy infrastructure after the Russian attack. Today we are allocating UAH 350 million to the Energy Ministry to support the energy company,” Shmyhal wrote.
According to him, the fund will be used to reduce the amount of loans allocated by these companies for the repair of damaged equipment and passing the heating season.
In the past, Shmihal spoke about “real” preparation for winter. According to him, almost 80% of the backbone networks have been fixed. And high-voltage substations have been restored to pre-war levels.
DTEK also named the amount of costs for preparing thermal power plants and mines for the upcoming winter. We are talking about billions of hryvnias.
