As part of a lawsuit filed with the Belarusian Defense Ministry, Ukraine will nationalize an aircraft engine and an air starter.
The Ministry of Justice of Ukraine filed two new cases in the High Anti-Corruption Court on the application of sanctions in the form of recovery of assets. In one of them, the Ministry of Defense of Belarus will be the defendant. This was announced by the head of the sanctions policy department of the Ministry of Justice Inna Bogatykh on Facebook.
According to him, as part of a lawsuit against the Belarusian department, Ukraine intends to nationalize an aircraft engine and an air starter.
The second case is about a group of companies Volga-Dnepr (Russia), where they want to take six D-18T type aircraft engines for AN-124-100 aircraft Ruslan.
“A suit against Volga-Dnepr important from the point of view of international confiscation. Because of Canada, a similar procedure was initiated for aircraft Ruslan, owned by the same company, it has now been arrested by Canada and must be confiscated in favor of Ukraine. Many more aircraft of this company were frozen by Germany. It’s hundreds of millions of dollars,” said Bogatykh.
Recall that in March 2022, the Svyatoshinsky District Court of Kyiv arrested 12 aircraft in absentia Ruslan airlines Volga-Dnepr in the framework of criminal proceedings opened at the request of a state-owned enterprise Antonov. Three planes are in Germany, one – in Canada.
The next day Volga-Dnepr sent an ultimatum to the Canadian government via an arrested plane Ruslan.
