The hryvnia strengthened its decline against the dollar on the cash market. RBC-Ukraine reported this with reference to market monitoring data on Tuesday, August 15.
Today, the average dollar rate grew by 10 kopecks – up to 37.70 Hryvnia, the euro rate remained unchanged at the level of 41.60 Hryvnia.
In exchange offices, they buy the dollar at an average of 37.20 Hryvnia, the euro at 40.90 Hryvnia.
The official fixed dollar exchange rate of the NBU has not changed since July 21 last year – 36.5686 Hryvnia per dollar. The official exchange rate of the euro has significantly decreased today and is now at UAH 40.006 per euro (-0.2085 UAH).
Earlier it became known that the NBU sold more than $15 billion since the beginning of the year. At the same time, over the past week, the regulator sold $469.4 million to banks, and bought only $850,000.
