No one is ready for such costs, and no energy company alone can attract the necessary resources in a war, the CEO of DTEK noted.
DTEK energy holding will spend about UAH 11 billion to prepare and operate the heating season. This was announced by the company’s CEO Ildar Saleev on Facebook on Friday, August 11.
He noted that due to Russian attacks, damage, destruction and occupation of energy facilities this year, a significant part of the capacities and reserves, which is a kind of “safety cushion” for last winter, will be not available in the energy system. Therefore, the upcoming winter is another big challenge for every Ukrainian.
DTEK Energy will spend UAH 3.5 billion on the repair of TPP power units and more than UAH 7 billion on the launch of new coal longwalls.
Saleev said that no one is ready for such expenses. And not a single energy company is capable of attracting the necessary additional resources in its own conditions of war and the height of preparations for winter.
“Therefore, state support plays an important role here – the government loan program for the restoration of thermal power plants and thermal power plants, by analogy with 5-7-9. The funds provided for this program is not a gift or investment from These are loans with clear and clear conditions that we need to return,” said Saleev.
Recall that the government of Ukraine has made some necessary decisions to improve the financial situation in the energy system. Among them is the possibility of attracting the 5-7-9 program for energy financing.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Energy announced the absence of loans for the restoration of thermal power plants and thermal power plants. The department appealed to the National Bank with a request to speed up the implementation of the loan program.
