Microsoft will no longer renew licenses for Russian companies

All subscriptions active at the end of September will be valid for their duration, but cannot be renewed.

Microsoft Corporation after September 30 will not renew the license for Russian companies. This is stated in a technical support letter for Microsoft Online Services, published on the Telegram channel of the information and analytical agency TelecomDaily.

“Microsoft will no longer accept bank transfer payments to a local bank account as a payment method for Microsoft services in Russia. Therefore, by sending you a 60-day notice, Microsoft is notifying you that after September 30, 2023 (the effective start date) you will no longer be able to renew your existing subscriptions,” the letter reads.

All active subscriptions on the specified date will be valid for the term, but will not be changed, the document notes.

Recall that the previous Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin said that Microsoft allegedly provides support to Ukraine and “acted at the expense of the Russian Federation.”
